Met adds Donald Duck

Danish team Mom equals toilet announced a new player for their lineup. myMYM.com caught him for a quick interview.

Yesterday the all-Danish team Mom equals toilet officially announced their newest addition to the team. With this addition the team now has a 6-man squad. Met finished 4th at this year's DreamHack winter, right behind some of the top teams. The choice fell on 20-year old Denmark Andreas 'Donald-Duck' Søgaard, who's currently in the airforce and working as a bartender.

myMYM.com caught up with Søgaard for an exclusive interview and with the team manager. Read on to find out who's behind the mask of Donald-Duck, why he was added to the team and last, but not least, why he chose the nickname Donald-Duck.

Please give an introduction of yourself.

Sup! I'm da duck!! When I'm not working as Donald-Duck in Disneyland Paris my name is Andreas Søgaard and I'm 20 years old, the last 4 month I've been in the Danish airforce :D well not as a pilot. for this time being I don't have any work, but at summer I work as a guide, and some weekends I work at the local bar as tender :D I love pracing Flair. Right now I just focus my time being the best dota player as possible :D

Why do you think Met chose to add you to the team?

Well we have scrimmed a lot together the past weeks, and it seemed to go better then expected, so the spot got offered to me, I feel like I fit in the team very well cause the team got so many different players, all with different playstyle. I got some skills with heros they hadn't praced that much and my basics on most of the other heros were enough to make me worthy I guess. The teamplay has really worked well when we played, and we are all great friends in MET so I think I was the right add to the roster.

Why did you chose the nickname Donald-Duck?

The nick Donald-Duck is my first and only nick at blan, some friends and I decided to start our own bnet clan back in the days, we choosed to call it Cartoons-United, so I had to choose a Cartoon nick :D a lot of my friends are still confused about why I didn't call my self Goofy though but I guess it can't be helped :D I'm da Duck

Donald was once a part of the team and now is again. I know the other guys are quite happy to have him back and he will fit right into what we are aiming for this season in all the leagues we are taking part, not alone Donald has been in the Army for some time now, but we know he has teh dedikation to the game and to the team to aim high, not along his jokes are funny like hell, Welcome back mate looking forward to watching u raping ! DUCK DUCK!

The New KingSurf International Interviewed

The DotA community was in shock yesterday as one of the biggest merging has occurred in competitive DotA scene. Mousesports has decided to discard their DotA team and former Mouz players joined Ks.int together with their temporary Dreamhack teammate, Puppey. Besides that, Vigoss, number 1 player of 2007, will also be joining Ks.int to strengthen the scare factor.

Striking while the iron is hot, Kingsurf's manager, Eryc has taken the liberty to interview 4 of his new recruit from Mouz (Twistd, Miracle-, LevenT, KuroKy) to discuss about their feelings about the merge and their new organization.

Give us a short introduction of yourself please.

KuroKy: hi im kuro and i play dota for 4 years!
LevenT: HI im Levent Isyapar, 21 years old and i play DOTA!
Miracle-: I'm Jesper Nyhlén from southern Sweden
Twistd: Hey im known as "Twistd" online, as Björn to my friends. Ive played dota for ~2 years and the last year competive with mouz.

What's your feeling of playing under Ks.int's tag?

KuroKy: Its a great feeling to play under a strong tag and dedicated sponsor for dota players
LevenT: After having a talk with both my mates and the manager of Ks, I feel like having maximum support for our team!
Miracle-: I feel very excited to play under a new tag and I will do my best to help Ks.int
Twistd: I dont know for sure, i think it will be fine and its pretty cool to share tag with players like hyhy and yamateh!

How do you know about Kingsurf gaming?

KuroKy: All i know is that ks has a very strong asian team
LevenT: I know them from replays and their amazing teamplay lol
Miracle-: I have both seen and played against ks.dota and I really admire their playstyle and individual skill.
Twistd: I guess I did my homework bad, because I don't know much about the organisation behind it. I know (by name, not in person) all of the players and the history/achivements of the team though.

After the asorbing of 4 mouz players, and with the return of vigoss to Ks.int,the team seems like a merge of Virtus.Pro + Mouz.dota. What is your expectation of 5 STAR team?

KuroKy: Hmm, if everything works out i expect us to be strong, so i can even fulfil my dream - winning an asian lan! :D
LevenT: My expactions will be very high since we have one of the best leader and players in dota.
Miracle-: I always aim for the top and I do believe we have the players and experience needed to make it
Twistd: Well since i had to eat my words and get +20 msg/day about how much we sucked at dreamhack i wont say that we will stomp everything this time. If the chemistry and spirit will be good i think it will be one of the top3 teams in the world. Too high individual skill to fail.

What's your opinion of 6.57? how the new Ks.int can bring out the best of this version and show the world the "FANTASTIC" game play?

KuroKy: I think 6.57 has too many flaws, alot more than 48 and 52 used to have.. all this spectre visage sa shit pisses me off, i rly dont get why icefrog just doesnt remove spectre, obviously she breaks anygame when she was born.. other than that .57 is on the right way, alot better than 52 and 48 - if u take out the imbas - .. we try to show some entertaining dota for sure!
LevenT: I believe we will bring very agressive dota for the fans and viewers.
Miracle-: 6.57 is a very nice version for aggresive play which will be how the new Ks.int will play it.
Twistd: I think its a fun version for sure, fix back sentry wards so we wont see so much retarded invis heroes in play. I think the new ks.int gonna combine agressive ganks with high pressure on a map and not let the enemis get one single creep for free.

mousesports (mouz) becomes KS.int

Just few minutes ago it was announced that Germany mousesports DotA squad will leave mousesports and join KingSurf.

Statement from Mousesports:-

Our DotA team will leave mousesports as of now to head for KingSurf and therefore will no longer be a part of mousesports 2009. Both parties agree to split right after Dreamhack Winter 2008, which the team ended with a third place behind MYM and SK.

The team, which celebrated his last appearance for mousesports at this years Dreamhack Winter will move completely to KingSurf. Therewith the chapter DotA in mousesports will be closed for now. We would like to thank the team for their time in mousesports and their successes. We are proud, that we have formed a team over several months, which can compete with the worlds best opponents and say good bye to Twistd, Miracle, KuroKy and LevenT.

Furthermore KingSurf International announces additions to their roster. Germany Kuroky, Germany Levent, Sweden Miracle and Sweden Twisted will officially be joining Ks.Int along with Russian Federation Vigoss. This means that the Ks.Int DotA team will be a mix of former VirtusPro and Mousesports DotA, a rather strong combination.

[KODE5] MYM takes down DTS

After close to 2 months of battling between 512 teams, KODE5 DotA Challenge #1 almost come to an end with only 8 teams remaining in the tournament. Tonight, Internationa- MYM will face Ukraine DTS in the quarter final. Securing this game also means that beating the arguably toughest opponent in the tournament, and one big step closer to the title of KODE5 DotA Champion, $2000 and hardware!

This will be the first big match for DTS after the departure of Vigoss and Vein, so they will be playing with the all Ukraine lineup. Here is a pre-match statement by Denmark MYM.Maelk.
Quoting Denmark MYM.Maelk:

After our success in PDL, ENADC and our latest win at Dreamhack we are eager to stay on top. Winning KODE5, and hopefully Prime Defending #11 before that, will mean that we have won every major event that we have participated in the past many months. After the departure of vigoss and restructuring within DTS, we are meeting what can only be regarded as the strongest team in Ukraine and quite possibly in all of Eastern Europe.

Window Tools v1.25

When playing Warcraft III in window mode, it will be next to impossible to use the mouse to scroll since it would very often jump outside the window. Also, the window is very easily unfocused and brought behind other windows. This will make it very irritating and hard to play.

When running this program, the mouse will be unable to move outside the Warcraft III window making gameplay pretty much the same as if you would play in full screen.

Why would I want to play in window mode?

The primary reason I'm doing it because I want to be able to do other things at the same time, like chatting with friends, without me having to Alt+Tab all the time to just check if they have said something. Switching from/to a full screen application also takes a lot more time then if it would be a windowed application.

Another reason I am using it is because I have a 24" screen. Playing Warcraft III in full screen makes everything extremly big, and it gets harder to get good overview over what is happening.

How does it work?

If the specified window is focused (default "Warcraft III") it will limit all mouse movements to within the window boundaries. If you would switch program (Alt+Tab) it unlocks the mouse movements directly. It provides hotkeys for pausing the program (currently only Scroll Lock) in case you want the mouse not to be locked (eg. if you are in the lobby waiting for the game to start).

In case you find another game that lacks the options for clipping the mouse, you can specify the windows name in the program, and it will do the rest for you.

Settings

Minimize to tray - When minimized, it will only show up in the system tray (usally in the bottom right corner, right beside the clock) instead of the taskbar.
Start minimized - It will start minimized (to taskbar or system tray) directly.
Use Scroll Lock status - Will use Scroll Lock as a global hotkey. The program will only clip the mouse if Scroll Lock is activated.
Name of the Window - If you only want to use this program for Warcraft III, leave this field untouched. But if you encounter another program that have the same issues (mouse escaping the window), you can enter the window name here.

How to run Warcraft III in window mode?

Window mode can be activated by adding the parameter -window after the executable in a shortcut to Frozen Throne.exe or war3.exe. To do that, right click on the shortcut, select Properties and add -window in the Target text field. It should read something like: "C:\Games\Warcraft III\Frozen Throne.exe" -window

The Warcraft III window can be freely resized just like any other window.

SRS won F4F #4 by beating SK in Finals

After beating PGS last week in the semi finals of the Farm4Fame #4 competition, last night Serious.DotA had to face SK Gaming in the final.

Losing the first map and going 0-1 down meant no more mistakes were allowed in this best of three match. Serious fought their way back into the match and managed to win game 2 and game 3, and thus the overall victory in this F4F #4.

Incohatus the Formless, Hidden Hero on Dota 6.57b AIplus Revision 2

Incohatus the Formless, Hidden Hero on Dota 6.57b AIplus Revision 2. I'm sure most of you didn't know that there's a hidden hero on the latest map of Dota 6.57b AI, Dota 6.57b AIplus Revision 2. The hero is very cool and i'm sure you will love to play it. The hero name is Incohatus the Formless. The name said it all, he is formless and take a form of a whisp. Nothing special there. But, the interesting part is his skills...

Look at the picture, his first skill is from Broodmother and his second skill is Diabolic Edict from Lehsrac. Can you guess it now? .... (waiting for your guess ^_^)

Yup, his first skill is able to take ally/enemy first skill as his skill. His second skill is take ally/enemy second skill. Wow, imagine Meat Hook combined with Chronosphere, cool!! Curious on how to use this hero? Read on!

To be able to use him, you must play with the Dota 6.57b AIplus Revision 2 map (Revision 1 is not included him yet). And then, in the beginning of the game, type -fun followed by -tryhero. You will have Incohatus the Formless as your hero instantly. And then, have fun! :D I'm sure you didn't need a guide for a hero like him :) Enjoy playing Incohatus the Formless!
