Exact Dota 6.58 Changelogs

* Mask of Madness: Amplified damage is now applied at the end instead of within the duration Damage between 2 and 3000 is recieved 12.1 seconds after it's activated as ATTACK_TYPE_HERO ,DAMAGE_TYPE_FIRE )
* Sentry Wards: True sight range increased by 100 700 -> 800
* Illusion Rune: Now creates 2 images instead of 1, images deal a little less damage 50% -> 35%
* Silencer: Curse of the Silent is now an AOE effect 275 Triggered AoE
* Bone Fletcher: Death Pact can now be used on any non-hero unit, not just allied units. Ancients can't be targetted
* Lucifer: Lvl? Death bonus damage is now reduced by magic resistance only rather than both magic resistance and armor Spells/Normal->Spells/Magic
* Lucifer: Reduced Doom's cooldown by 20 seconds 180/150/120 without Scepter 110/100/90 with Scepter -> 160/130/100 without Scepter 90/80/70 with Scepter
* Enchantress: Improved base damage by 10 19 -> 29
* Drow Ranger: Improved Marksmanship by 3 Agility each level 12/24/36 -> 15/30/45
* Viper: Viper Strike's cooldown reduced from 80 to 80/50/30 seconds
* Rhasta: Increased cast range on Mass Serpent Ward 350 without Scepter 400 with Scpeter -> 550 Without Scepter 600 with Scepter
* Templar Assassin: Improved turn rate 0.4 -> 0.7
* Pugna: Reduced Scepter upgraded Life Drain cooldown dramatically 22 at all levels -> 10 at all levels
* Venomancer: Improved Plague Ward cast range and vision radius Cast Range 650 -> 850 Vision Radius 1200 Day / 800 Night to 1400 Day / 1400 Night
* Visage: Rebalanced Raise Revenants (5/6/7 Max to 4/5/6 Max, Sight radius reduced by 50%, 29/39/49 damage to 40/46/52) Sight 1200 Day / 800 Night to 600 Day / 400 Night
* Added a sound to Tidehunter's attack MetalHeavyChop
* Techies' name now includes the third goblin (77704) Squee and Spleen ->Squee Spleen and Spoon
* Improved Roshan's Turn Rate 0.1 -> 0.8
* Put a practical limit to prevent mass -roll spams 20 Times

Use of -apm command in DotA-Allstars

What is APM?

-apm (action per minute) is a command in Dota-Allstars which tells Action Per Minute of your Character and your Summoned units

People who have an APM of 200 in DotA are silly. There's no reason whatsoever why you should be making one single unit perform that many actions.Anything around the 70-120 range is enough for DotA but keep in mind it has no correlation with skill still.

Sometimes it depends on the hero. Some heroes require more clicking. With Luna I tend to get 100 APM or so. Just from clicking on the ground so much and controlling all my dominated creeps and that's IF I have creeps. Now Silencer, that is a very apm intensive hero imo. Rexxar is another one. Control Hawk and Boar at the same time.

The thing is with some heroes like Chen and Meepo even noobs can get a high apm because when you select 4 meepos and right click once that counts as 4 actions. That's where some of the ridiculously high apm numbers come from (not that a pro couldn't get 200+ with any hero but it's mostly unnecessary).
On the other hand a good Meepo or Chen NEEDS a high apm in order to be effective and the apm difference between an auto-attacking noob and a skilled player that moves in for last hits, moves back again, cancles his attack animation just to make his opponent attack too early and generally keeps moving not to be an easy target for heroes like PotM or Pudge is HUGE.

It's not like high apm = pro, low apm = noob but with 50 apm you really can't be doing well, 90 seems pretty low as well but I've seen pros having around 90 in some games, sometimes a high apm is just not needed as the people above me said.

Mouz|Away leaves mouz

As you may already have heard and noticed, another mouz is gone. This time it`s mouz|Away, and the reason for his depature is that he didn`t enjoy it anymore, especially after the loss in the ENADC`s II final match yesterday. And as a final result he decided to leave the mousesports team.

It has certainly been a rough and maybe a historical week for the competitive DotA scene, and especially mousesports. Let us remind you that it`s not more than a week ago where the former mouz member CAT left followed by the former team captain Drayich and now Away.

Now since the team is short on players, and some of you might think that they won`t be attending to the DreamHack event, Mouz|Twisted have already included Ks^Puppey into the dreamhack lineup.

How do you feel about another player leaving the team?

Im sad of course, but who knows, if away felt like he did im sure it was for the best.

Two players have left the team and one have gone inactive, do you think this may be the end of mouz.dota?

Nah i dont think so, we got the support of mouz and we got some of the best players in the world still playing in the team.

Will this drop affect your results?

Yea of course it will, we are just four atm, dont think we can handle all the top teams 4v5!

As you`re only four players in the clan left, you`ll have to invite a new one, do you have an idea of who you`re going ask next?

We are still discussing about that. But of course player/s will be added in the near future.
